This boat was designed for a capacity of 69 guests. However the US Coast Guard certifies these kinds of boats for 49 guests only. This way everybody has lots of space. We can sail in the open ocean. Most charter boats have to stay in the bay only.

You may get all your guests inside the top cabin if it's raining, cold, foggy or windy - or everybody may be on the outside at the same time. We believe we are the only 49 person boat in San Diego where everybody can be on the inside or on the outside at the same time. Aolani is primarily a sailing yacht. However, if you should prefer a motor yacht we will not hoist the sails and than she is a motor yacht. Wouldn't you rather have the wind in the sails rather than loud, smelley engine interrupt your hours at sea?

This kind of sailing is very similar to the number one attraction in Maui, Hawaii and Key West, Florida. Experience the thrill of fast sailing with this lightweight and attractive vessel. When you leave this boat we want you to have experienced a great sailing adventure. Aolani is perfect for a family vacation as well. She has 4 staterooms (2 queen and 2 double), and 2 staterooms for captain and crew.

It is not uncommon to have someone in the group who is prone to motion sickness. On this boat, that feeling is reduced to nothing since the hulls are 32 feet apart and give the base of the boat more stability. The forward portions of the hulls are very thin so that the boat just slices thru the waves rather than pounding over them. The boat never heels more than 5% or 5 degrees- a very stable platform.

We many times have guests who say that they want to wait at the bar while we are out sailing rather than coming with us because they get motion sickness. We want them to know that our catamaran is unlike other boat. Our two hulls allow for stability; and unlike power boats or regular sailboats, we slice through waves instead of pounding over them. Over and over again we are thanked after the tour by these guests that we have renewed their confidence in boating again. Also, please don’t forget you are on a private charter. If, at any time you wish to turn around from going into the ocean, we will do so right away.

Most charter boats have to stay in the bay only. We are certified for the open ocean.

"This day far exceeded anything we could have wished for. Captain and crew was exceptional in their care of our Guests. One of our guests was hesitant to go sailing with us because he gets motion sick easily. However your crew talked him into going and this boat totally restored his confidence in boating again. He loved it. What a smooth ride, half the time you donât even know you are on the water. You guys have the best boat in town. Catamarans are the only way to go."
